Who is responsible for your data?

Buki France, 38 avenue François Mitterrand, 72000 Le Mans, France, is responsible for the processing described here. Fields marked as mandatory are needed to handle the relevant request.

Purposes and legal bases

Information needed to manage accounts, orders, deliveries and contract-related enquiries is processed to perform the contract or take steps requested before entering into it. Accounting records are processed to meet legal obligations. Contact enquiries and website security rely, depending on their purpose, on the contract or Buki France’s legitimate interests in answering enquiries and protecting its services. Newsletter subscriptions and optional tracking technologies involve separate choices.

Buki France newsletter

Subscribing is optional and independent of creating an account, placing an order or contacting after-sales support. Entering your email address and clicking “Subscribe to the newsletter” expresses your consent to receive Buki France news and offers. No additional checkbox is required in this dedicated subscription form.

We use your email address to manage the subscription and send these communications. The website keeps the subscription date and technical registration details, as well as the language, request source, version and text of the notice displayed, to document your choice. A subscription request is recorded separately from a completed registration.

Brevo provides newsletter contact management and email delivery services. Authorised Buki France staff and service providers access only the data needed for their work. Subscribing does not give consent to marketing by partners or optional tracking technologies.

You may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in newsletters or by contacting Buki France. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out beforehand. Your address is used for newsletter delivery while you are subscribed. Limited information may then be retained as necessary to respect your objection and document your choices; evidence must not be retained longer than needed for those purposes and the defence of legal claims.

Recipients and retention

Data is available to authorised staff and providers needed for the relevant service, including hosting, payments, delivery and messaging. Retention depends on the purpose: managing the relationship or enquiry, applicable legal obligations and the periods needed to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim. Accounting documents subject to the corresponding French legal obligation are retained for ten years.

Cookies and embedded content

Some technologies are necessary for the services you request, such as maintaining a session, managing a basket and remembering privacy choices. Optional services requiring consent must remain inactive until you accept them. Continuing to browse does not constitute consent. You can review the available services and change your choices through the cookie settings panel.

Where enabled, audience measurement and embedded third-party services may process technical identifiers and usage information. These data must not be regarded as anonymous solely because they do not contain a name. Your newsletter choice is independent of your cookie choices.

Your rights

Subject to the conditions of the GDPR, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your data, object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent. Legal retention obligations may limit erasure.

Contact us using the website’s Customer Service form or write to Buki France, 38 avenue François Mitterrand, 72000 Le Mans, France, specifying that your request concerns personal data. Further information may be requested when needed to verify your identity. Requests are normally answered within one month, with a reasoned extension where permitted by the GDPR. You may also lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority (CNIL).
